Having a problem programming my key fobs for my 2006 Daimler super eight. If I follow the procedure described elsewhere by holding the flasher stalk, turning ignition to position one and flash the lights four times, the vehicle chirps as though entering program mode but when I then try pressing the key fob buttons to synchronise them , I don't get any response from either fob. The vehicle then exits the program mode after about thirty seconds. I have tried holding the fobs near the rear window Ariel and each fob has a new Duracell battery in it and all the buttons are good in them. I'm convinced there is no fault with the fobs. If I use the key to lock the drivers door, all the central locking works.

any ideas ?
