Default Dents in my Bootlid

Last night's high winds brought tree parts flying in from higher elevations, landing on the boot, leaving shallow dents with no paint damage. Has anyone had joy using the spoon artists of painless dent removal on this kind of aluminum sheet metal? I tried it once years ago on the aluminum bonnet of an Olds Aurora, but the dents came back immediately so the guy didn't charge me anything.

Steel has a memory, to a degree it wants to resume its original shape'
I don't know about aluminum, but it being softer, as well as not as rigid, might require another method entirely.
Sure someone else here must have had the pleasure of this issue.
Best of luck, hope things work out well for you.

I had couple of small dents done about 5 years ago, and perfection was attained. The guy did work for all the car dealers who need to get small dings removed before the car goes into the showroom. Fascinating to watch him working !

I had my car done after I purchased it. Found him thru the Jag dealership, as he did all their aluminum Jags and Land Rovers. Dents never came back, and never could tell they were there. My car is Indigo Blue. Like black it shows every little ding.

Heat, hammering or another way?
Always have liked to understand how as well as why, certain way has been chosen to do a job.
A true tradesman of any kind, when busy at his work.
Is a true artist performing his craft to see.
If you ever had the pleasure, or interest, to watch one at work.
