After I release the brakes the pedal is slow to return (I noticed the brake light remaining on for a second or two after releasing the brake). Also I have found I can lift the brake pedal slightly with my foot even if I have not recently applied the brakes. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

 

Lack of lube / if there's a spring then gone bad.
