differences bet 04 and 05 XJR

differences bet 04 and 05 XJR

hello all,
im new to XJR.

can anyone provide info on the differences or improvements the 05 XJR has over the 04?

Is the 05 XJR more reliable?

When there is the 20" wheel option, does that also come with a upgraded sport suspension? does the car sit lower?

there are no real changes between 05 and 04 model years in the XJR, the 05 isnt any more reliable, the 04s had no problems really. The 20" wheels are a stand alone option (was a $4500 option, new called the sepang style), all cars regardless of wheel size have the same suspension. hope this helps!

thank you for the response! i guess this helps me search for a car then. i can always buy the sepang 20" wheels later on...

i asked about '05 vs. '04 because the usual rule of not getting first model year of a car.

The 04 was the only year that they had chrome trim around the front and rear glass.

Some of the '04's were manufactured in '03. You could get a true '04 made car also. I would not worry much on the XJR as the engine and trans are the same as '03 basically.
