Default Door mirror approach lights

Anybody had to replace a bulb in one of the approach lights bottom-side of the door mirrors ?

The one on my driver door mirror has gone, and I can't see how to replace it. There is nothing in the Driver Handbook. I looked on the underside for a slot for a screwdriver to prise it out but can't see anything. Also I pulled the mirror back and could then see part of the top of the light, but again, no clue as to how to proceed. I don't want to break it taking it out, so if anybody knows, please advise.

I was in much the same boat. I was able to remove the module from under the mirror, but I was stumped on how to actually remove the bulb from inside the module. I just gave up.

Hi XJ8JR

Thanks, but how did you get the assembly out ? Maybe it is replaced as a single part.

If I remember correctly, you push the mirrors towards the front of the car, which will expose the assembly/module. Then it should be as easy as sliding it out (with a bit of force) and then unhooking the wires (there should be a plastic connector that you just pull out carefully).
