Default Driver's side door pillar upholstery worn through

I have wide shoulders and large arms and I've worn a whole in the (admittedly cheap-feeling) cloth on the door pillar.

Has anyone replaced this with leather?

I'm thinking of going to an upholsterer who does a goods job with motorbike seats, but the problem would be to fit the leather nicely.

Has anyone done something like this?

I recently replaced my headliner and pillars with a charcoal gray suede. Looks and feels awesome. The headliner board was the real bitc* of the project, but the pillars were pretty easy to remove and refinish. The cheap fabric has to be removed completely along with the fluffy stuff underneath before trying to attach new material.

Thanks for that.

Did you glue the suede to the pillar?

Yes. I used headliner spray adhesive. And the material was specifically for automotive use, with a foam backing attached.

Did it on my wife's Mercedes I just bought clean used pillars off eBay ans installed them but it's very easy to R&R (remove and replace) the pillar and R&R the fabric.
