Default Driver's Side Mirror Problem

Hi Everyone,

Just recently I noticed that my driver's side door mirror will fall and angle down at random times. I don't believe it is programmed to dip when placed into reverse like the passenger side. If so, I've never seen it attempt to dip when I've placed the car into reverse. I will adjust it back up to the appropriate position and it will stay there for some time until I go to switch lanes on the high way and notice it isn't pointing in the same position anymore. Is there an easy fix (screw to tighten, etc)? Before opening it up and starting to take it apart, I'd thought I'd ask for some guidance.

Thanks,

Eric

I have not seen that problem. It would really be one of three things. My guess would be a mechanical problem in the mirror. The next would be a problem in the front door module. Third would be a problem in the drivers door switch. My switch recently went out and ended up buying a whole set of doors to get a switch. My switch problem was a failure in one of the up/down switches. Good luck and if you need a mirror please let me know.
Cheers
