Default DSC Not Availiable - Brief Message on Start Up

I have a X350 2007 XJ TDVi - noticed on start up a few times recently that the warning message 'DSC Not Available' flashes up on the message screen but goes off again after maybe a second.
No amber warning light comes on an no issue with 'safe mode' or reduced power - the message just flashes briefly at start up.

Has anyone else encountered this - Is it normal for this model as my previous X308 did not do this??

Thanks.

Usually a sign of your battery being slightly under charged. I would charge it overnight and then report back.

Yep I used to get that when the car had been unused a week or more, and before I got a CTEK charger/minder.

Thanks guys for the input - have been charging the battery but it seems to be losing voltage. (New battery will fix that). Bigger issue seems the body harness - some of those wires aren't carrying the full voltage. So it seems it's a combination of both that are causing suspension & power restrict codes intermittently. Just got the car a month ago so not looking to fork out for a new body harness just yet if I can find a work around. Its double the price in my neck of the woods due to tax on imported car parts.
All this due to bad paint job in the oven .
Will let you know how we resolve this

I was a little suspicious that it might be something like the battery, hopeful it was something potentially that simple toI!!

A friend of mine had an X type that was having all sorts of issues with sports mode and through trial and error it was discovered that his battery was at fault also, after changing the J gate and various other bits and pieces had no effect!!

The car has to go in in the next week or two before the timing belt so I will get them to test the battery while it's in there.

On the mend, but battery not the problem - being drained because of harness/wiring leaking - have isolated those with relays etc.
