Hi, I have the standard US version 06 XJ8 the cup holders are an improvement from my 98 x308 (worst cup holder ever designed). But the only cups I have found that can fit into the tiny holes are the paper cups they hand out medicine in
Has anyone tried out any of the dozens of aftermarket expandable cup holders like these ?



I measure the cup holder at approximately 2.4 or 2.5 inches in diameter. Most of the holders I see on amazon ebay have minimums of 2.56" so they won't fir our cars.

Alternatively has anyone found a yeti type insulated cup that fits our cars ?

" Airbags, ABS, DSC, but does it have 11 cupholders?" I am glad that none of the company give away cups fits. It gives shotgun seat occupant sense of purpose.

 

LOL, my cup holders in the older x308 were so bad, not only could they not even stay closed they could not hold any cup I ever tried without falling out on every turn. I was so excited with the x350 to get stationary molded cup holders in the center console ---- Until I could not fit any cup in my house in the tiny little openings. A paper dixie cup must be what the engineers used for size. In my part of the states we call them medicine cups because that is what they give pills in - they hold one swallow of fluid.
The holders are so small I went to Walmart for expandable cup holders - I got two different ones that were way too big for the jag --- I also held a template of what will fit in our holders to the bottom of every insulated cup and mug in the store. I was 0 for 20, some only missing by millimeters. How unbelievable for the cup holder engineer to have failed so spectacularly.
