Oh yes, Pete and I will definitely share a beer or three over this, and yes I still have the spare actuator for examination. However, I don't see any kind of cam or rotary device to return the latch home from the open position, but I do see plentry of circuit board so I'm inclined to think the action is accomplished by reversing polarity to the latch motor. Makes me wish I had run some voltage tests after I got it working, but I was too eager to get it back in the car.
