I started my 1999 Jaguar V8 sport up this morning and the light and the dashboard lights are flickering, could it be the alternator or battery ? also I sometimes get the restrictive performance come up, I am putting this down to damp? anyone got any ideas.

 

It sounds like a bad connection or bad earth somewhere. Has any work been done on the car recently ?

 

No not really, had a new security module put on about four weeks ago, to make new key fob work.
