Front left air suspension spring height uneven

Hello all. I just had the left front air spring replaced because it had a leak. However, now it will not fully inflate and rides lower than all three other springs. The leak is gone because the spring remains inflated over night but it is about one to two inches lower than the right spring and the car is tilted to the side. The air suspension fault message illuminates and the suspension goes into hard mode after a while or while going over bumps. I'm assuming the suspension height needs to be re-calibrated but the service manager I spoke with on the phone at the dealership here in Dallas never heard of the suspension being re-calibrated so he couldn't provide me with a quote. Does anyone know if this procedure will solve the problem? Thanks.

Yes, and it's very simple to re-calibrate the suspension height.

Have a look here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ur-x350-75369/ the standard procedure is even given in the old JTIS Technical Guide, i'd be very concerned at the dealership saying they have never heard of it.

Any dealer with the IDS/SDD diagnostic system can do it. I've done it myself many times now.

Quite a few Air suspension posts lately.

As a reminder, we have some pdf documents available for download.

Either through my signature or HERE.

Scroll towards the bottom and see 3 pdfs.

(ps, added Touch screen and JaguarVoice yesterday.)

Could be because front suspension is controlled by a single height sensor, and the air spring you changed was the one without the sensor, so it thinks everything is tickety-boo. Sometimes these things adjust themselves on a short ride.

I agree the single sensor on the front is part of the problem. But it can be corrected by doing the suspendion calibration with IDS/SDD. When i bought my XJR the right front (side without sensor) was ~10mm higher than the left. After 3 or 4 calibration cycles it was evened out. But i had to enter exaggerated measurements in order for it to correct the height. Same idea as lowering the ride height.
