This has to be a simple thing, but I can't figure it out. The radio manual says pressing the TA button for 2 seconds will shut off RDBS. I press it and get nothing. All I want is to see the frequency I'm tuning to, not the song and all that scrolling by.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

With the radio on, press the am/fm button and the eject button at the same time. You will get a screen allowing you to turn RDS on or off.
