"Front right damper - circuit open", but it's not!
I haven't noticed anything strange with the suspension, except perhaps it's a bit floaty but then I've only had the car for 5 weeks so I don't know what it's supposed to be feel like.
Compared to my Audi S8 it's quite soft and they both have air suspension, but anyway . . .
I just read the codes and saw I had C1419 - Right front damper - circuit open.
I recently had the damper out so I thought maybe I'd forgotten to plug in the connector at the top, but no. It was plugged in properly.
Maybe the damper electrics are bad I thought.
So I them measured the resistance of the damper across the 2 pins. It was around 6 ohms. The left hand side was the same.
I don't know what it's supposed to be but I assume that's probably OK.
I then tested for continuity from the Air Suspension module to the RH front damper. i.e. I pulled the back seat and checked the White/Blue wire and the Black/Green one that goes to the Suspension module pins 89-5 and 89-10. Perfect! No break at all.
So then I was a little stumped, unless the module is bad, or maybe the damper shows 6 ohms but doesn't pass enough current to satisfy the module?
Probably more likely the spring damper is bad I guess.
Any wisdom?

If it was me I would get some long jumper wires, and connect the right front damper connector to the left front damper contacts. Leave the left front damper connector open. If the right front damper is internally bad then the scanner should show both sides open now. If you want to REALLY confirm things, then connect the left front damper connector to the right damper with another set of long leads. Again if the right damper is bad the problem will switch sides and you will get a left front damper error code (C1424 I think)
Good luck and let us know what you find.

Just because the DTC is there does not mean that the fault is CURRENT.
IF the damper circuit was open/short at one time and the key was TURNED ON, then the DTC was logged in the module.
If the damper was plugged back in (or circuit intact AGAIN) then the DTC REMAINS (logged in a 'NON-VOLATILE' area of the memory) until it is CLEARED.
I always encourage all 'new-owners' to let me READ, PRINT, CLEAR all DTCs in ALL modules so we can start with a set time and date going forward.
DTCs may be days, weeks, months or YEARS OLD.
A DTC that CANNOT be cleared is a HARD FAULT and needs to be investigated.
Some newer cars have INSTPKs that have DAY/DATE settings so the modules can store that info also. (no guessing WHEN the DTC occurred)

OK, that makes sense. I'll try a reset of all DTC's and see if it goes away. I'm used to VW Audi VAGCOM software where it always shows you the time/date of occurrence and how often it occurred (if it's a repeatable error).
Believe i saw something similar, to what you describe, in the V 130 SDD software.
In regards to the mileage if memory serves, instead of the date.
Could be it does both, have only looked around in there a little so far.
