Front Suspension Squeak
Well, my front suspension started squeaking today. It squeaks if I manually bounce eeither front fender, but no noise form bouncing the rears.
Last year, I replaced both front air shocks and lower control arms. It seems strange to me that both upper A arm bushings would start squeaking at the same time. This leads me to suspect the issue is more likelt a sway arm (stabilizer bar) bushing. Do you guys have any other theories?
I am not looking forward to shelling out another 4-digit sum of dollars. I could turn up the volume of the radio, but I lost sound to the rear speakers (another item to fix). It seems the useful life of a 2005 XJ8 Vanden Plas is 90,000 miles.

Stick with it Sarks.
90K miles ain't nuthin (American speak!)
You may only have one bush squeaking.
These bushes are poor-they don't last but you can buy just the bush
remove arm and replace the bushes if you are careful.
You will need to freeze the bush and heat the arm in boiling water.
Insert using a press.
I have to admit I have never had to do it myself but it can be done.
WRT rear speakers-the joint where the wires are connected to the diaphram can be bad.
Usually it's the door speaker-try banging the panel near the speakers with your hand.
They may come on.

Could it be the bushes in the bottom of the air struts? Mine sounded like an old man's knees last year so I replaced them. Had to make an extractor/insertion tool but each side took about a couple of hours. Turns out the bond between the inner sleeve/rubber and outer sleeve had perished.
