I bought a hammock net for my '06 Vanden Plas to keep things from rolling anound in the trunk. I thought I'd be able to install it in minutes, but I have found that it isn't as easy as it looked. I removed the 4 screws that were in plain sight, but obviously there is something else holding the plastic trunk trim in place. I bent over and looked along the underneath edge (near the spare tire) and there appear to be at least a dozen screws that may have to be removed--very difficult to access. There are also so wires that are concealed by the trim. The instructions refer me to JTIS 501-14 for removal and re-installation of the trim piece, but I've not been able to download the manual. Can anyone tell me how to remove the trim? Thanks.

 

Oakcircle, there are the four plastic quick screws that you found and two torx head screws, one in each of the tie down wells in the trim panel. After that it is held under the lip of the trunk seal all the way across. I had to pop the two carpeted side trim panels loose to make R&R easier.
