My 04 XJ8 is presently one-eyed. I had some really nice guys at Crystal Lake Firestone change the bulb but it didn't fix it. Inspired I remembered the two lights are on separate fuses so I checked them and sure enough the fuse was blown. I changed it But it blew again immediately. Bah.

What I'd really like is for someone to tell me I have to change the fuse exactly at midnight and all my dreams will come true. Failing that, maybe someone who had the same problem can give me a clue or two?

Check the harness starting at the bulb for shorts and damage. The bulbs get pretty hot, the connector may be melted.
