hi i have recently bought a 2008 jag xj8 it has switch for heated seats but when i press the switch no lights on the switch come on the same happens on the rear do i need to activate the computor screen for the swich to work.

No, there's no setting in the Touchscreen. There are mult electronic boxes that control these things. There is a Jaguar service manual you can buy for $10 or download for free if you can find it. There's nothing in the user settings though to 'activate' it. Sorry

 

The Owners Manual says the engine must be running, but on my car the seat heater switches light up when the ignition key is in the run position.
