Default heated seats

Recently purchased an '06 xj8l - my question/problem is with thefront & rear heated seats - they just don't get very hot, actually don't really get very warm - is this just how theseheated seat are OR does anyone think this may be a problem? My other vehicles -a VW and Mercedes get much warmer.

thanks

I had the same complaint about my XJ8. I took it to the dealer and had it checked. All systems were functioning normal according to them. They took a thermometer, placed it on the seat and set something on top of it. The temp did rise, but I thought it wasn't very much though. They said it was normal. Steering wheel gets very warm.

Same for me. Wheel gets very hot, seats not so much. I think the dealer can fix the wheel if it bothers you.

Thanks again for the memory seat battery info. Save me a ton of money!

Theseats don't get hot in my old XJR, either. "Warm" would be the best I could say.

I know this doesn't help much, other than possibly establishing that Jaguar doesn't intend them to get "hot" and it was that way even in 1995. <shrug>

Cheers
DD

the single temp seats (1 light on switches vs the new 3 button) get warm, not hot. The 3 button get alot warmer when on high than the old style, but has more to do with the material and padding between the elements and your butt. Its an old complaint, and was addressed with the new system....

Lew,
I bought an '06 xj8 a couple of weeks ago.
It's my first Jaguar. I had to replace my daily driver (a '96 BMW 328is).
I wasn't even thinking about a Jag and was actually looking at MB.
Saw one of these cars in a parking lot and started to research them.
Test drove one and was in love. Also like the fact that you don't see these at every stop sign like you do MB & BMW..
Cincy,
I was born at Good Sam and went to Mt. Healthy school. Mum still resides in Cincy also.
Cheers,
Chad
