Default Help its cold in ma

I have heat on the pass side, vents & floor board, but cold air on the d/side, both from vents & lower d/side? Dealer said my air box needs to be replaced. I somehow dont believe it, & if so is there anyway to confirm that? & is there a way to manually open them & keep them open?
2004 XJ8 VDP with 38k orig miles.

Thanks Maria

Maria,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X350 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

This is a well-known syndrome of a blockage in the heater core in the heater box. It does puzzle me how a blockage can only affect one side, but apparently it can.

Two fix options are available, (1) flush of the core, sometimes works, but not always, and (2) replace the core, almost always works, but costs a lot more money !
