Default Hood-grill alignment

Hi!
I'm looking into buying a nice Jag: a 2004 XJR.
From the photos I notice the hood doesn't align flush with the grill: pops over it just a bit (5mm or so).

- Is there a way to achieve a better alignment?
- Should I be worried about underlying problems?
Thanks!

Look for the stops, on both sides to adjust the height, of the hood.
Yours looks about the same as the body.

Thank you Wingrider and 310jag.
The listing's vin number and autocheck report did not match the vin number on the car that turns out to be a totaled salvage vehicle.
Drove out 5 hours :/ and spent 175 on a pre purchase inspection without me checking those numbers myself beforehand.
Sigh

As long as it tracks straight, runs great, with no check engine light issues.
The price was reasonable, & you plan to keep it, W T F, who cares.
They often total these cars, way too soon.

That gap doesn't look normal to me. I had a problem recently where my bonnet would not fully shut and had a gap like that one. It was the spring mechanisms in the hood/bonnet latches that just needed greasing. Now there is no gap. And it's now much easier to close without slamming it down over and over before it would fully engage.
