Welcome to the forum CYILV3,
I'll give you some very good advice:
DO NOT MULTIPLE POST THE SAME QUESTION ACROSS DIFFERENT FORUMS
I've deleted identical copies of this from XK8/XKR and Wheels, Tyres, Suspension & Handling forums.
This is the correct place to post technical questions about your model.
Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Looking quickly at the power steering system diagram, it doesn't seem like the fluid cooler would be too difficult to replace. Used ones are pretty cheap on ebay also.
Thank you for your reply. I have spoken with two other Jaguar mechanics. What diagram are you reviewing can you post a pic?
Two mechanics are saying it is difficult to assemble because you have to remove major components of the engine. I have to install Part 4 of the diagram.

According to the repair manual, they're trying to fleece you. Check out the attachment. This job should take under an hour.
Do you think you can give me directions to have it done.? I have a friend that may probably be able to do it with some guidance. I have been unable to find a video of the repair.

The document I attached is taken directly from the repair manual. Just follow those steps. The entire workshop manuals can be downloaded here:

Update:
Thank you again for your generosity with all the information you provided. My friend was able to do the repair and everything is working wonderfully.

CYILV3,
Thank you for reporting back with the resolution of your issue. What was the diagnosis of the old cooler? Was it clogged?
XJ8JR,
Thanks for the posts and information that helped resolve the problem!
Cheers,
Don

Yes! It was severely damaged and worn out! I have replaced quit a few items: All control arms front and rear along with new tie end rods and sway bars. Everything appears to be going well mechanically.
My next tackle is to check fuses for my seats. They are not operating fully.
Thank you Again!
