Does anyone know how to get these out of the console? I want to replace one of them with a USB charger. Thanks

 

To pull the panel out you need a plastic pry bar:

Example of similar tool: Please, please, please do not use screwdriver!

However, as you can see from my picture, I just plugged in 12V to 2USB 'low profile converter'
No need to dissasamble anything! I do have one, as you can see, on the back; another is behind glove compartment door.

 

Thanks for the response. I have the panel removed using a similar pry tool, I think I got that idea from one of your other posts. What I am trying to do is remove the cigar lighter and replace it with a charger. With as much time I've spent trying to figure out how to remove it I had been unsuccessful so posted the question. After reading your response I gave it one more shot and success!
Steps:
1. Remove rear console panel.
2. I used my thumb to press on the plug end of the cigar lighter(white part) while supporting the panel with my fingers. Took some pressure but it did come out leaving the light diffuser(green part) behind.

3. I then rotated the light diffuser so one of the clips lined up with the notch in the panel opening. Then used a screwdriver to push in the other clip and pushed the diffuser out.


Now I can begin installing the USB charger.
