I got blasted!!
A lot of people like to believe they know what's what about things from what they hear, others look at facts.
Back in the 90's, purchased two new Honda's, a 1990, & a 1996, both base model standard shift, GREAT go to work basic cars.
Back bumper on the 90 rusted loose, as well as many other areas were also not so safe if hit so a replacement was needed.
After looking around at prices of all new cars, just can not afford one, the 96 is still safe but is getting up there in age, & will need to be replaced.
Well kids what i found was these Jaguars, as well as some other high end used cars, seem where he deals are.
I now have two beautiful Jaguars for way less than any new econo box.
After putting things right, both cars are a step or three above any car i've ever driven let alone owned.
My motorcycles have not been ridden much at all, since getting the Jags, neighbors all seem to have noticed as well, one asked after the second one showed up if i hit the lottery.
Not fixing many in my bike shop either, things change, Jaguars became reliable as well as inexpensive,W T F.
Just keep driving and smiling, their words will fade into the distance.

OK, given Jaguar was owned by Ford in 2004 I don't get the Ford guy's comments at all. Be like a Chevy guy badmouthing Cadillac. Honda does make some of the most reliable cars in the world but nothing even in the Acura line that is really in the class with Jaguar so that's a matter of taste and clearly a Honda will be less expensive to maintain, so would a Toyota but, as noted above, which would you rather be seen in? We all live a bit on status and folks disagreeing with our choices are part of that, but, in many cases those disagreements are just to prop up their own egos likely because they are thinking, damn, I could have bought one of those. Jaguars are, with a few misstep exceptions, rolling art. They aren't basic transportation. Not everyone likes all art, I think your car is beautiful and I doubt many (any?) here would disagree. Just realize that when you drive home you're driving a Jaguar, they are driving something less, likely much less...
