I need a replacement trunk liner panel for 05 Super V8
Something happened to the passenger side trunk liner panel in my Super V8's previous life. I'm thinking battery acid spilled because there is a 6 inch square section of the liner that has all the fabric covering eaten away just above the battery. The car is so nice otherwise I would love to replace the panel but every time I find an XJ8 at a recycling yard they have filled the trunk with "loose parts" and ruined the liner.
1. Any good references for Jag friendly recycling yards? (Particularly in the northeast)
2. Are the liners the same color and size for all XJ8's ? (did they change for long wheelbase or by year?)
3. Should I forget about it and focus on things that really matter like bleeding the brakes and cleaning the grounds?
Thanks
Jeff

All good questions Jeff, sorry i have no good answers.
My 07's, were not available when i called the dealer's parts dept either.
Seems about anything mechanical can be sourced from the salvage yards.
As well as body panels, cabin iInterior parts.
Not much trunk liner's, or plastic under body panels.
Not needed to run, not seen when driving, so who cares??????????
Seems to be the general outlook.
Focus on catching up, on the cars neglected maintenance, while you look for the liner.
