Ok Jag Techs, what is the part number for the "Air Suspension Relay"? The photos in this thread shows the "Brown 40 amp", I have a "Black 40/30 amp" with different internals.

very well articulated. I have one comment on Step 5.
"5. Unplug all four ASM plugs and tie out of way."
you may consider applying liquid insulator or somehow sealing the four connectors. Moisture will find it's way into the exposed terminals and with the CAN bus exposed
on one of those connectors it's like inviting gremlins into a highly stable system.

Loco, considering the asm module is behind the rear seat back, if you got moisture up that high, youve got bigger problems than that. Also the asm is "legged" in parallel and not in series so it should never pose and issue

I will seal them all. I even fished the front height sensor plugs up into the engine compartment out of the wheel wells. They are extremely brittle and the clips break easily. I also fished the air lines out. That is a piece of work!

Rear almost finished. Will finish tomorrow. Just for grins, I took it for a ride with coils in front and air in rear. Rode like the original as well as I can tell. No body roll. The left front is a few MMs higher than the right but both are in specs. Hopefully they will even out.

One thing that I have noticed is that the dust boots on all the ball joints, tie rod end, bushings are made of a kind of surgical rubber that is falling apart. The joints themselves are OK. Brutal, can you replace just the boots? They are held on by spring rings. I took most of them off as they are ugly and serving no purpose.

NO FAULTS!!!

I've seen fretting jump terminals on other applications and whether it's legged like you say, I've always considered any BUS circuit vulnerable when exposed. All it takes is some car wash jockey leaving the back window cracked and the unthinkable happens... regardless, moisture finds it's way to dry exposed conductors..

Eddie, take it over a tall speed bump at the park and seat them in. Measuring wheel well height with three hundred and fifty pounds in trunk sure would be interesting. I did that using five 5 gallon buckets of rocks on a Cadillac with air rears..

Bob, If were not legged in and in series, you couldnt take out the module without breaking the can network. Items that are "Options" are legged in since some car DO NOT have the module. I forgot that the armoured XJ's have coil overs and no air suspension modules

That is good in case I take a hit in my new coilovers. I have been hit by 23MM and had a Gau 8 blow up underneath me before. Thank God for the titanium bath tub.

It looks like the ride height can be adjusted as well.

Hey, moderator... this thread should be in a DIY sticky. Especially with the constant air suspension/conversion threads started everyday.

Sheesh note to self, must try harder.

That's very interesting that the rear suspension worked with the front coils installed. Thanks for all the testing and feedback!

I THINK HE PULLED IT FROM THE INSTALL MANULA IF YOU SEE THE PIC HE ADDED. BUT I THINK THEYRE JUST REFERING TO THE LOWER SPRING MOUNT THAT CAN HAVE THE COIL DISPLACED THE ITS SEAT, AND OR THE STEEL MOUNT CAN BE COCKED ON THE SHOCK BODY LIP AND NOT SET CORRECTLY. BUT..... IF YOU WHERE TO HAVE A SET OF RADFLO OR IKON THREADED SHOCK BODIES THAT ARE ADJUSTABLE WITH A SPANNER WRENCH
