My 06 XJ8L has all the sudden stop locking with the key fob. I replaced the batteries in both and they both sometimes won't lock the car. I hear a solenoid type sound but the doors don't lock and no lights flash.

Any ideas ??

 

Do the doors lock with a key in the driver's door?

 

Yes the key works in the door, just fob won't lock or unlock intermitantly

 

Hard to diagnose where the problem might lie.

I think I would try repogrmming the remotes using the headlight flashing method

first.

It won't cost anything just a little time.
