Default It's Not My Turn Yet/Someone Buy this Super V8!

Don't let the title of the ebay listing fool you, it is CERTAINLY a Super V8. You know, it is a dishonor to these cars that they should be available for such prices, but this one really takes the cake. The darned thing looks brand new inside and out, 42K miles.

It HURTS that I'm not ready yet. Buy this car before I do something stupid and buy it anyway. Hopefully it will be my turn to buy before too long, just not now. I pray that something this nice comes available for such a great price.

Cheers! This ebay listing number is 190463463566.

It went through a 10 day listing with ZERO bids, starting at $21.5K. There's zero demand for this vehicle. That's just crazy. It's just been relisted. Look the "buy it now" is $26K and change. That car is worth every penny of $26K. If I had money right this minute, I would call that dealer and offer them $23K right now. I know they'd take it. I'd walk away with a car that cost over $90K new and is to this day one of the mightiest cars ever built for a SONG! Oh the sweet agony!

Yeah nice way to sell cars... just get on forums and cry about how you couldn't buy that "amazing" car and some sucker will buy it =) although you forget that these forums have marketer members like me...

I was wondering if that was what was happening.

well you are WRONG. I live in Dallas, I work in TV advertising, and I have been watching that listing for over a week. I am a Jag enthusiast who wants to buy a car. Maybe you are super paranoid or suspicious of your fellow man, but you've got the wrong guy. I'm not a car salesman, but I am a salesman, and you, my friends, are wrong about me.

That car is a Super V8 selling for around $25K in excellent shape. I can't buy it now. I came here to show others what a find it is. Sorry for showing up to share. Sheesh.

on second thought, why should I care whether you think I am promoting my own cars or not? I'll just leave this forum a day after finding it. It'll be your loss more than mine, if this is how the members are going to treat a newbie.

No offense intended, although I can certainly see how the responses can be taken that way. I was just wondering. You sign up, no introduction that tells us about your Jag enthusiasm, and start flogging a car that isn't selling...sorry dude. Hope you find a deal like this when you are ready.

It's all good. I am a lurker by trade on forums. I prowl and lurk. It's been years since I came into a forum and registered. I'm around 99.9% certain I'm going to purchase one of these cars in the next few months. The car I posted is IT. But I can't take it just yet.

Let me know how it would be best for me to formally introduce myself, if that would help, if you don't mind. And thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Travis

Are you trying to make me do something really irresponsible? I was preapproved for a $23.5k car loan last week and I have maybe $1500 in cash to spend on a car. I also have a $5k car that I could sell quickly, or take to Carmax for around $4k.

I would totally jump on this if it were black on black, but I PROMISED myself I would get a black/black car. I hate tan interiors because they are so hard to keep clean.

By the way, why on earth is this one having so much trouble being sold? A lot of red flags are being raised in the back of my mind.

Oh God, I just looked on Kayak.com... a one way ticket to DFW from IAD (which is literally 2 minutes from my office) is only $150... VERY tempting.....

By the way I think if I bought it for $23k (or whatever reserve was) it would be well within my budget, even without selling my $5000 car! Just not right now! I was saving that money for an engagement ring!

Ahh...I have found a kindred spirit. I started out wanting a black on black or black on tan XJR, but I have fallen in love with this car. The Jag Racing Green (SuperV8 only color) and the VDP interior are just perfect together. I didn't expect to like this car this much, but so far this is THE ONE. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's possible that this car will sit there moldering until I can afford it. Now, Alan, please be irresponsible and buy this car and save me from this agony!

If you are a DRTV advertiser, why don't you just advertise it as a Super V8 in the listing instead of a VDP!

Doesn't come with floor mats? Why? Were they ruined in the flood?
