Jaguar Voice on 2006 XJ help
According to the owner's handbook you are suppposed to press the "voice" button on the left side of the steering wheel and wait for a beep...then give a command. This button also mutes the radio. Mine works fine to mute the radio but there is no "beep" sound and I cannot get it to do anything when it comes to entering a voice command. Can anyone help figure this out? Sure would appreciate it. The handbook, as usual, is almost useless!
I don't know. I bought the car used several years ago and got no help whatsoever from the dealer or the salesman. Still trying to figure out some things. My cell phone pairs with the Bluetooth just fine. Everything else is working. According to the owner's handbook the button on the steering wheel for voice/mute should cause a beep and the the "listening" message should appear. The button does mute the radio just fine, but doesn't do anything else. The handbook doesn't indicate whether this voice command was an option or not and I don't know how to find out. Thanks for your input!
Did you figure out the issue about voice command? I just got a 2006 XJ8L and I ran into the same thing. I really wanted voice command. Is this just an option that I don't have? And if so, have you looked into adding it?
