Hi, I've just been reversed into by a Range Rover in the car park. I'm pushing for a new wing, the guy wants to pay without
insurance. What do you guys think, new wing or knocked out?

 

I would push for a new wing, as well.

As the car is made of aluminium, you need a specialized workshop to repair it.

Certainly a replacement wing, new or secondhand. The labour to bring that dent out will likely be more than fitting a replacement wing. A full repaint of the wing will be needed for either of your options. Why not get a price for either option ?

 

Hi, wing repair = £ 1020.00 wing replacement = £ 2'135.78. I think I will go for replacement.

 

Im not sure where you are located, I searched www.car-part.com in the central Kentucky area and located a used tan right fender from a salvage 2005 XJ8 listed as A1` condition for $140.00. You may also search ebay motors for takeoffs as well. You may get lucky and find one the exact color in good shape and have it shipped to you..
