Jaguar XJR x358 O2 sensor faults - help!
Hi all,
Hoping for a bit of help here, I have done extensive searches but have not been able to identify any similar conditions.
So, I had initially codes P0031,P0051, P0131 and P0151 all relating to upstream O2 sensors low heater circuits and low sensor circuits.
I got under the car and tested the sensors one had infinite resistance i.e. toast and the other resistance of 9 ohms so I bit the bullet and bought two genuine denso sensors and fitted them. Was now getting stft feed back from both sensors and car running well so great, I thought, problem solved.
Fitted them Sunday gone (5th July) and today on way home from work car into restricted performance and sounding like it's running on four cylinder's. Got home ran a scan and sure enough the previous P codes are back 😠.
Read up on earths and redid ground point g3 and snapped the stud so I thought maybe it was a bad earth, put a new earth point on but still the same.
Checked fuses 33 and 34 both showing battery voltage which I think rules out relay 12.
So my question is are the O2 sensors earthed to a different point as I see a reference to the grounds behind the strutt towers but then both grounds would have had to failed at the same time !?
Anyone got any ideas?
As the title says - HELP!!

Well for closure and others that may search this topic I found the problem to be the earth points behind the front suspension turrets. Once cleaned and put back together O2 sensors came back to life and been ok since.
