Planning on taking a drive from my home in south Florida to Atlanta next month.

Doing the oil change this weekend with Mobil 1.

How far is your trip ? FWIW I had my car up on a lift last week to check it out prior to a planned trip to Rome, about 3000 miles round trip. Found out I needed new rear tyres, and a new rear rollbar link. Got all that lot done, then Rome trip cancelled !

 

Just rolled over 113k here today. Replaced the rack this week as I'd previously mentioned but all seems well elsewhere.

I've been driving my 99 Town Car for so long now that it's taking some readjusting to get used to my XJ. Ha.

Gotta say, I love the room in my Lincoln but oh, the looks the XJ gets from admirers!

 

I just hit 100k today! Any maint suggestions at this milage?

Yes! new plugs.

They must be iridium and not platinum.

NGK and not Bosch.

 

Admitting my ignorance here: I changed my plugs at 86k with NGK's and am wondering the difference between platinum and irridium plugs. Peformance? Acceleration?
