i have a 53 plate xj6 3 litre, can anyone advise me on how to pair a new key fob to the car

If you do a search on this and other forums there's a procedure that involves operating the headlamp flasher in conjunction with different ignition key positions, then pressing a button on the remote.
Honest- not joking you don't have to dance around the May pole at the same time and it does work.
