My key fob stop working after I did not use the car for some two weeks. Beforehand, it was sluggish but still worked. Have attempted to reprogram using four flashes, but doesn't work. Could someone please advise?

Battery in the fob?

 

I have had that happen (often don't use the car for weeks) even with newish batteries.
After I unlocked the car with the key, remote started working again. Can't explain why.

 

I replaced the battery, but still is not working... Tried to reprogram did not work either.

 

I did a hard restart, disconnect the car battery, then reconnect, but still did not work. I am confused...

 

I'm saying manually operate the key in the slot and/or the lock buttons. I dunno why that worked for me, but immediately after the FOB worked again. Could've been chance, I don't think so.

 

When you do the headlight flashing method you have to do it really
quickly and then you get a beep if successful.
