Default LCD/NAV/Climate Control blank

Hi, I have a 2004 X350 VP and recently the LCD screen has gone blank. It started flickering on and off at first, then would take up to 10 min of driving/idling for it to come on now I’m lucky if it comes on. I’ve checked relevant fuses (F34 cabin/F51 trunk) and before I go through the task of tearing apart the center council to see if there are loose wires, etc was hoping to see if there was some other suggestions. Guessing it could just be a bad power supply etc? Both the Nav screen and small lcd screen under it are blank, so there are no codes on the small screen coming on to show anything. When the screen does finally come on it boots up like normal and both screens come up and work fine. All the buttons around light up but none of them work. radio works fine other than I can’t use the touch screen.
Thanks,
Robbob

Occasionally after starting mine, I have the same fault as you. Cycling power usually fixes it for me.

I figure one day it will get bad enough I'll take it apart and fix the fault. By then, someone will have created a guide on how to replace whichever cap or diode is going bad.
