Lean code p0171 after installing new fuel injectors
Okay so I just replaced my fuel injectors with OEM style injectors. They have the same part number and look to be the same as original ones witch are denso. Anyway I installed them and immediately my jag ran like crap. Now it was running rough to begin with and had no codes. I assume I have a vacuum leak and I thought that all along I just could never find out after replacing just about everything even the intake manifold gaskets upper and lower. Is it possible that with new injectors that are actually working like they should made the jag finally tell me that there is a vacuum leak? Oh and I have tried all kinds of carb spray and a smoke test to find a vacuum leak but nothing indicated so. I did read on a forum that spraying MAF cleaner with work best so I did that on the upper and lower gaskets and there is a definite change in the rpms. I'm leaning towards I messed up the gaskets somehow and created a vacuum leak I just can't believe it's both upper and lower. One other thing to add is I did put my old injectors back in and the code went away and I was getting normal ltft and stft. Can anyone tell me if my assumption is correct? I really don't want to have to do my gaskets again.

Many off-brand injectors have problems right out of the box. The fact it runs better with the old ones would point to that possibility. OEM style does not mean OEM quality even if they look the same.
