Low pitch beep after shutdown
Hi all,
Hope you can help as this is perplexing me. 2004 XJR LHD. Shortly after shutdown, key removal and door open I get 1 to 3 low pitch beeps from under instrument cluster. IT'S ONLY OCCASIONALLY. It's not the park brake, trans not in park, parking sensor, accidental key fob button push or other 'routine beeps. It is subtle low pitch. There are no fault codes except passenger mirror potentiometer out of range and driver seat put of range. The steering and movable pedals are on auto mode. The pedals are past the shops and don't move anymore (on the fix list). I love this car and we are thinking of adding an XKR to our XJR and X-Type garage.
Any ideas and solutions are much appreciated.

Well, this is what the Owner's Handbook says:
ERROR AUDIBLE SIGNALS
Two audible signals will be heard whenever one of the following conditions are present:
• If any door is open when an attempt is made to lock the vehicle.
• The luggage compartment or the bonnet is not properly closed when an attempt is made to lock the vehicle.
• A key is present in the ignition switch and a button on the transmitter is pressed.
