beep beep - what's that noise?
Hi Guys
I recently purchased a used my2010 XKR. From day 1 there's a been a strange beeping noise coming form somewhere over in the passenger area. It comes on when I start the engine and stops after around 15 seconds.
I've worked out that it's not the seatbelt warning buzzer (doh!) and it might be the Jaguar Tracker device that's no longer operational. I'm not fussed about getting the Tracker working again, I just want to stop the noise. I guess the sound is coming form a speaker somewhere. Anyone know where it's located?
When I spoke to the Dealership, they advised NOT just disconnecting the speaker and have the device 'removed professionally' (by them). They've quoted £300 - and I'd rather spend that money on fuel
So, a few questions?
- Where is the device?
- Can the speaker be safely disconnected without further hassle?
- Is it fused. Could I simply remove the fuse?
Any help gratefully received!
Thanks
