Default Manual key doesn't unlock door RESOVLED

I tried using the key to manually lock/ unlock the drivers door. I insert the key but am unable to turn it. Obviously works in the ignition. Any ideas? Help?

Thank you PigletJohn. WD40 worked. Never having used the manual key before, I didn't realize the key was not inserted all the way. WD40 and about 10 minutes later, I reinserted the key and it went all the way into the lock mechanism.

Very much appreciate the help.

Adding more detail. Nether key will manually unlock the drivers door. One of the keys will lock and unlock the trunk. Both work in the ignition.

One FOB unlocks everything, the other For works intermittently. I think this is just a fading battery. The concern of course id that a FOB battery dies and I can't get in the car.

Please help, I am unable to find anything like this in the forum

you say it does not turn. This makes me think that there is a mechanical problem, e.g. the lock cylinder parts are jammed; or the key is not a good fit in the cylinder.

The cylinder works like an Abloy, with angled slots cut in the key and disks in the cylinder (not pins like most cylinder locks). These are very good, but it is worth trying a little WD40 and working the key in and out in case it has seized. I remember my emergency boot lock, never having been used, was very stiff. Use the red plastic straw to get the WD40 in. It needs only a quarter of a drop of spray.

If the key is a copy, and is less than 100% accurate, it will not open the lock.

It is extremely difficult to pick these locks, and they can't be bumped.
