Default Mesh Grills

Just fitted a mesh grill to my XJ - only £39.45 + P&P and delivered in within 3 days from:

Sill Protectors, Scuff Plates, Replacement dials for vehicles items in Lockwood Vehicle Accessories store on eBay!

Quality appears to be very good and came with fitting instructions - got it fitted in 20 minutes, easy

They also have mesh grills for X & S types all at sensible money £34 to £40, worth a look if you're in the market for a mesh upgrade

Congrats, they look very nice.
It's infortunate that, if you are not in UK, you have to pay practically as much in shipment costs than for the item itself!

I'm glad you posted that , as my old X type had a heritage Jag chrome grille with the multi upright chrome strakes . However my latest X type " Spirit " has chrome surround , no strakes & the infill is mesh , just like yours ....However its Matt Black mesh & I dont like it , it looks cheap & nasty . I have the same colour Jag as you & love the Racing green .Chrome combo . I have had a rattle can of chrome paint for some time & seeing your pic has given me the final nod, that I need , to complete the task........Cheers ..Pete .

Cheers Pete - Good luck with your X mods - I agree with your comments about colour, JRG when 'polished-up' is one of the best - next job is fitment of front & rear US spec side marker lights

Lightbulb

I lost one of my plastic grille inserts and played around with this screen mesh. It cost $5 from walmart and took 15 minutes to install.

It actually looks pretty cool to be honest (from a distance!!).

A new plastic grille set is on order.
