Default Miscellaneous operational questions

Hi - I recently purchased a new 2008 XJ. When I was test driving various models, I recall my side view mirrors pointing down when in reverse. But my new Jag doesn't do this.

Does anyone know if this is part of some configuration setting somewhere (and where to find it!)?

Thanks!

According to the manual and my dealer its an option that can be programmed by the dealer using a special computer.

if the mirror adjuster is in the right side position this could prevent it as well.

I have the same car (L version) & it does it. It wasn't an option as far as I know and should be standard. I would suggest calling the dealership & speaking to someone in service to check if it's a setting issue or is it something they have to program/fix.
