I have had my 2015 XJ almost two years now and can’t understand how I never end up straight aligned in parking lot spaces. I try so hard to do it right - my inside perspective tells me it looks right - but it seldom is. I have had cars for 43 years and never had such a perspective problem. Anyone else suffer this dilemma? 🤓

You didn't get the right forum either! Take this drink and try it all again in the morning.
I did this all the time when I had my '99 Aurora, parked crooked in the space. No other car, including my '07 XJ8L. I would even go into the space conscious of the issue, trying to compensate, and end up crooked!
Well then, you need "Park Assist" google "Jaguar Park Assist". Not sure which recent models it's on.
I have it on my MB A180. I sometimes drive around a carpark "self-parking" multiple times just because it's so much fun! Elon be damned.
How do I know you need it? Because "43 years driving" means you must be as old as me! And skills go down after late 30's, or did I get confused with mountain climbing.
I'm OK myself, but thanks for asking, Cheers
On another more serious note, the passenger-side mirror does or should dip when reverse is selected, at least on the X350/X358. Of course this is only useful for parallel parking and to avoid scuffing those stupid stupid low profile tyres! (I remember the more sensible 60's)
