Has anyone installed a Jaguar Nav unit in an X308 that only had the cd player? Is the harness already there or does it have to added. My '03 has a cd unit but I would like to add a nav unit. Usually the factory has all the wiring harnesses installed but I don't know for the nav unit.

 

If it was me I would be sticking with a more modern system that is readily available today. The old system that Jaguar had fitted in the X308 would now be well out of date with the maps while in most cases the later units such as Tom Tom and Garmin can be readily updated directly from the web.

I have a NAV unit fitted in my 2005 XJ8L and according it, I presently live in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere. I am being forced to purchase an updated CD to learn just how to get home.

I'm not sure if they have the disk for that far north but a lot of us down here has order the update disk for 2012 from the web for 56.00 dollars.If you go back and do an search for Jaguar NAV disks you will get all the information and just maybe get you out of that field.
