Need to replace ignition lock
I now have a new to me 2007 XJ8L and love it, however its needing some work. Need to replace ignition
lock, the assembly is incredibly loose and making it hard to start the car. How do I get the lock assembly out?

If you download the service manual from the sticky links at the top of the forum, the procedure for ignition switch lock removal is in section 57.40.29.
It doesn't look too difficult.
