Default new control arms and now air strut issues

I had a local mechanic install front new control arms, but when they put the air struts back on, they were inflated to max height and would not change. He did a few cycles with letting the air out manually and then cycling the key in ignition. Now, the struts are max low with no pressure.

The only code is C2302 code leveling plausibility. We only have a Foxwell 510 reader so i cannot calibrate. Any suggestions?

Compressor comes to mind, followed by front, & rear air shocks

This would be where I would look first. Secondly, how was the work done - on a lift or floor jacks? Have known someone who jacked one side and ended up bending the plate that the front height sensor is attached to the frame with. Bent back, worked fine. But does sound like this is a height sensor issue of not being reinstalled, connected or damaged.

Hope its this simple for you, but these suspension parts do wear out.

UPDATE: car lifted at max and then in popped one of the front bladders. Mechanic said it sounded like a gun shot.

So, he installed a new strut from NAPA....and same issue...going to max pressure on front...both of them....he then let the air out to manually even the car with the rear height and it seemed to work....he restarted the car a few times and let it run for about 5 mins, BUT, at the 4th starting cycle, the same issue returned and it started maxing the front again.

was thinking the level sensor was damaged during the install of the first control arm so i'm going to order a new sensor and hope that is the fix. I did see a similar post on this board years ago and the sensor was the issue.

I'll keep this updated so maybe in the future it helps someone.

I would suspect the reason for the rise on the last restart after letting the air out was on previous restarts the compressor was just replenishing the air tank. Before buying a new sensor I would still check the mounting plate the sensor attaches to the frame with making sure it's flat and straight to the frame. Bent mounting plates would cause over inflation. If they are connected to the frame & control arm, mounting strap not broke, the senor has not separated, it's plugged in and wires are not cut or damaged than you may have a bad sensor. Your 05 has one sensor on the left front wheel.

FIXED: Well my issue ended up being a broken level control sensor on the front driver side suspension. It seems in 2005 there is only one in front while there are two sensors in the rear on each wheel. I assume it was damaged from the control arm work, but can never prove it so it costs me a new air struct from Arnott.

Either way, i purchased a new OEM sensor from ebay for reasonable price and now Lady J is back on the road with a much improved ride and handling since the old control arms were worn out completely.
