Default New OEM Bilstein rear air spring (driver side)

New post on an old topic...

It appears I may be in need of a rear air spring for my '07 Super V8.

I want a new OEM (factory replacement) Bilstein for the driver's side rear with the adaptive damping (CATS). I believe the correct part number for the rear comfort suspension air damper is C2C-41343.

Any suggestions as to vendors on the Internet? A quick search on Google showed a fair amount of difference in pricing.

I was just curious if anyone had a recommendation for a company they had used in the past. Who has the best price?

All comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Jim, III

Just FYI......

Car Steering Wholesale is selling new OEM Bilstein Air Springs for $800 if you're in need. For $44 more, they will have it in your hands the next day. The local Jaguar dealer wanted $1340 plus tax.

This confirms what the UK specialists are selling (in £ obviously !). Bilstein OEM as supplied to Jaguar for 2/3rds the price. OK, it's still expensive, but you have to ask why Jaguar are kissing them up the a*se for $540. Maybe somebody from Jaguar would like to explain the rationale for such a mark-up. The words "rip-off" do come to my mind, at least.

Remember that you only need to replace the failed unit. Air springs don't sack-out like steel coils. Of course check the other unit on the axle for oil leaks but if its OK, carry on.
