Default New x350 owner!

Hi!

After reading this great forum for 6 months I finally did it and bought a x350 4.2 V8 from 2003 with 66k miles / 107k kilometers. I'm getting it next week. Unfortunately the cars in The Netherlands are a lot more expensive due to high taxes on cars, that hurts a little bit when I see the prices in the USA but moving to the USA is a lot more expensive I guess :-) I paid 21k euro's, new the car was 129k euro's (bargain if you only look at the write off) and I comes with 6 month full warranty and has a full service history. The dealer also services the car before pick up and it gets new tires and brakes. Can't wait to pick it up!

This forum was extremely useful and I gave me a lot of confidence to finally buy one of these great and stylish machines. Thanks guys!

Keep you guys informed.

Is that the Slate colour? Mine's Slate as well. Absolutely gorgeous colour, whether sparkling in the sun or shining at night. Congrats

I think this is the slate color (dark gray). I like it too. Tomorrow morning I can finally pick it up. I think I will have some trouble getting in to sleep tonight :-) I'm just a grown kid right now.

You will love it and never want to stop driving her. I always have conflicting feeling for driving mine. I love to drive her, but hate to rack up the miles.

Got the car this Saturday. Went home and put in the child seat for my 6 month old daughter. (She looked like a little princess in the back seat of the Jag) Almost forgot my wife and finally we were ready for a long drive. What a fantastic car! It is so smooth, powerfull and silent. It is quite different then what I was used to. I normally drive a BMW 1 series and that rides almost like a cart.

I also noticed that when I do 70 mph on the highway I get the 29/mpg. That is really fantastic. My BMW with a 1.6/4 cyl. engine does not do a whole lot better than that! This sunday we will go on holiday to France and that involves a 750 mile drive. I can't wait!

We went to France last month....2100 miles of driving heaven and would have achieved over 45mpg fully loaded I reckon if it wasnt for a lot of city driving (London/Le Mans/Cognac/Limoges/etc etc) when we were there.Great car to tour as you arrive relaxed and not aching.Enjoy your trip!
