Question Noises from front suspension and somewhere else

Hello,

I recently bought 2004 Jaguar XJ6.
There were some obvious issues that I had fixed (front suspension bushes and leaking oil pan gasket) but I feel something else is wrong with it.

When driving, every time I use accelerator there is some humming noise from underneath. If I take the foot off the accelerator, this noise disappears. There is no leaks or oily parts visible from underneath.

Another strange noise comes from the front suspension. Yesterday I was driving with the windows down (this happens rarely), when I turned the steering wheel and I heard some noise of turning metal part touching other metal part - some medium pitch noise that is not audible when windows are up.

Local Jaguar dealership has nearly no expertise or knowledge with X350s, so i will need to diagnose the problem myself.

Any advice?

Greg.

If a front disc is corroded on the edge of the disc it can touch the caliper

when braking and turning at slow speed.
