I haven't noticed a noise, but if I do, now I know what to do!

Our XJ8 steering wheel squeaked terribly until i added the Jag additive, then it stopped almost immediately. Then however it started doing that low speed judder many have reported.

I added about 8 ounces of Lucas power steering treatment and within a few miles the judder completely disappeared. The steering is perfect now.

The steering wheel in our 06 SV8 occasionally makes a slight groan, but it doesn't sound like power steering noise - it sounds like a rubbing at the wheel itself. I don't hear it in normal driving, just in slow manouvering at rotation off center. It is likely that it is the power steering unit rather than something in the wheel itself?

I get this noise, and it seems to come from the top part of the column around the steering binnacle somewhere. I just ignore it.

I Ignore it too. It's my wife who thinks it is a problem. Now suspension clunk and a rattle/vibration on acceleration is a problem; occasional steering wheel groan not so much.

Follow up - I ordered the C2s48887 Additive from Engel imports / Terry's Jaguar for $7.47 and did the 'install'. Worked like a charm.

Thanks everyone for the input!
