I have a non Navigation touch screen XJR with 2 small screens, one for aircon and another one below for the radio.

The radio screen flickers and would go off and come on randomly as if there is a loose wire connection. What is causing the flickering and how do I solve it?

could not easily resolve the same issue on my 2004 XJR and just purchased another radio on ebay. The radios are not that costly, but you do have to take out the center console to get to the radio.

 

I have purchased a salvage yard rado to replace my original radio which works but the screen will not display channels and other details. Not sure what radio code will be required? I have the code for my factory radio, but not sure if that will work on the salvage yard unit??

Maybe try to get the salvage vehicle's VIN and approach your dealershop service department for a system reset.

 

ryejag. You may also call Jaguar direct and explain your situation and give them the VIN off the salvage car and they should be able to tell you the code.
